Relax & Retreat is a well-known event organized by our PMI branch, and it is coming back to Istria again! Don't miss the magic of Motovun, Pula, but also the eastern part of Istria and join us at this year's first Relax & Retreat!

Plan and Schedule

Friday:

The gathering in Motovun is on Friday, April 28, 2023. in the afternoon/evening hours, check in at the reception desk of Villa Borgo (https://www.villaborgo.com/), and dinner is planned in the restaurant under Volta in the very core of Motovun, right next to Villa Borgo. Saturday:

A very interesting day awaits us on Saturday, which we start with a trip to Pula, where we will visit the Pula Aquarium! (https://aquarium.hr/hr) Director Milena Mičić will welcome us at the Aquarium, and will give us a short presentation about the institution, but also share what kind of project challenges and experiences they encounter through the work of the Aquarium. In addition to the presentation, an hour-long tour of the aquarium awaits us, after which it will be possible to tour the aquarium independently.

After Pula we go to the village of Bričanci in Svetvinčent for lunch at OPG Ondina (https://www.facebook.com/opg.ondina/about). After lunch we will visit the wine cellar of the Ferenac family in the village of Ferenci in Vižinada (http://www.giulio-ferenac-wines.com/index.html), and in the late afternoon we will be hosted by the Višnjan Education Center at the Tičan location (https: //astro.hr/) where the famous telescope is located, which monitors the small bodies of the solar system. In the newly built dome, we will have the opportunity to listen to an interesting lecture by Korado Korlević and get to know the team that runs the Višnjan Education Center and their current project challenges. After the official program, we will have dinner in the observatory, socializing and networking and a tour of the Educational Center complex. When night falls, if the weather conditions are favorable, we will have the opportunity to observe nearby celestial bodies using a telescope.

Sunday:

On Sunday, we are heading to the eastern parts of Istria, where we will play golf and learn the basics of this very interesting sport at the newly opened golf driving range in Brseč (https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100087641061750). After golf, we will visit the charming center of the town of Labin, and for those interested, we can make a reservation for lunch at the Tomažići restaurant (https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100051288325859&ref=py_c ) at 4 p.m. (lunch is not included in the price).

Package prices are co-financed for members by approx. 50% and for accompanying members by approx. 25%. One member of PMI Croatia can take one person who is not a member with you. Accommodation is in double rooms and the number of overnight stays is limited to 14 rooms, i.e. 28 people.

PMI Croatia members receive 6 PDU points by participating in the RR in Istria.
